About a month ago, I got an email from RKGuns, that they had gotten in some Tisas Stakeout pistols, in the nickeled 9mm/.38 Super two barrel sets, and was I still interested. They'd dropped the price $100, too. I waited patiently, for them to get off their behinds and send it to the local Rural King store, who promptly lost it in the back room somewhere. Finally, after a little prodding from me to go look for the thing, which they found, after actually LOOKING for it.
Not a fine start to this journey, but I picked it up last Friday, and shot it this week, with both barrels. It shot "okay" with the 9mm barrel, but it shoots really well with the .38 Super barrel installed, which is about what I expected. The satin nickel finish is very smooth and very well done. Excellent! About what I thought it would do, honestly.
It'll join up with my other 9mm/.38 Super pistols, I've added Super barrels to three Springfield 9mms (Range Officer, Ronin Commander, and Garrison) and a Tisas 9mm Tank Officer, along with a genuine Colt Super I've had for awhile. I'm not such a fan of the 9mms, but when you add a Super barrel, it spices them to a worthwhile and "more funner" pistol to shoot.
I still have my .45s and 10mms, but to be honest, I like shooting .38 Supers a heckuva lot more these days. They are also easier to reload with my arthritic fingers, too. That makes 15 1911s, and one double-stack 1911. I think I'm done with all this accumulating, but who knows?
I'll try to get some pics up later, but it's a 5" 1911, with a beavertail grip safety, Commander-type hammer, and a satin nickel finish, with the "improved GI sights" as on current Colt pistols, so you know what they look like.

Very nice!

Finally got a pic or two of the new addition to the remuda. Everything except the skateboard tape is bone-stock factory. I haven't even messed with the trigger yet. Yeah, it comes with .38 Super and 9mm barrels and one magazine for each chambering.
