I think the best bang for the buck (@ $799) for a quality built 1911 pistol for you to check out is the Springfield Armory Garrison.

One of the best I use for the money or not, I say that because they are very reasonably priced are ACT magazines hands down.

Yes it sounds a little pricey, my first thought hnn how about mineral spirits.. I'll try it though, I know good products cost but their worth it.
