Breck's Burgers & Steaks

I don't know if thats the correct name, but Brecks is awesome. Its in N Charleston on Rivers across from the Hyundai dealership near Kmart. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but its your traditional laid back locally owned restaurant. I thought the food (Cowboy Burger) was really good and priced right. Most of their burgers are $3-5 and are equivalent to a $8-10 burger at most places. I'll have to try one of their steaks the next time I go.

It is just Breck's. It has been around for years...They used to be 1 block down from Ashley Phosphate where Verizon wireless is now.

You need to try their steak for 2 dinners...They are BIG....Great place to eat...If you are a big eater...

Same people still work there.

Been going there since 2000..
They used to have a location in Summerville by the Icehouse but was closed.

Just know, if you go, one way they keep costs low... cash only.

Hugo destroyed the old Brecks. Steve & Karen purchased the restaurant and keep it running after Mr Breck died I believe.

They have since retired and the kids (Missy & Jennifer) ran the stores for years and just recently sold the remaing Brecks. Interestingly enough, Ms. Breck had a hand in how things were done right up until her demise I believe (like the green decor).

New owners are very good and friendly folks. They did some quick remodeling and made some upgrading business decisions. I think they made a good decision to continue with the serving staff and wish them a Happy New Year and the best for business.

New owner, if I remember correctly is retired Air Force. Friendly and just as our going as Steve & Karen & family.

Still have great prices and the food is always good!

When in North Charleston I say, "Stop by and get a bite to eat." I have never been dissapointed in Breks for for over 30 years!

Try their "Cowboy Burger" GOOD stuff too! But be warned, "You can opt to only get one patty of meat and not two."

I did that today and the thing actually fit in my mouth, well, almost....

I thought they consolidated smoking to the bar area.
No smoking on the left side of the restaurant or maybe I just got lucky the last couple times.
