I have 3 Rugers a MK1 & 2 MK 2s. One of the long barreled MK2s I parkerized all shoot great.
Wish they were all Colt Huntsman, LOL.

I keep these out in the garage, the revolver, with birdshot, the Smith with hollow points, and the "Colt" for just plain playing around.

I have the S&W in the middle. It's accurate and feels good in the hand, and my wife loves it. Haven't put a silencer on it yet, but that's next.

My main plinker and Steel Challenge pistol is a Ruger Mark III Hunter with the stainless fluted barrel. Red dot on top with a Volquartsen brake.
Brake on a .22?
The brake adds muzzle weight and jets gas to stop muzzle rise for faster follow up shots on the steel.
That blob on the barrel doesn't create sexy lines but it does work for the job at hand.
Also have a couple of H&R 10 shot revo's to play with at the range.

Miss LD has one of those Smiths and she loves it! So do I, It's an excellent shooter.

Something we should be looking at(and still cheap) H&R, High Standard Sentinel, Higgins. I have two. They are fun 8-9 shot, fairly well made, fun to shot.
