Two different guns at different times today. Carried the bird's head .45ACP Vaquero while working around the farm, brush hogging one of the fields, mowing the lawns, etc.. Switched to the Roadster for it's maiden concealed carry voyage when I went out to pick up feed, go to the bank, and stop by dad's house. It was wonderful.

I never name inanimate objects but when I saw David's post of the original flamed 1911 he did, he called it a "hot rod Colt". I had a '98 Colt CCO that I planned to use for a build and I messaged him and asked if he'd be interested in doing a little Roadster now that he'd done a full size hot rod. I'd saved a pic of a flamed '27 Track T roadster and that was part of the inspiration for the build. Naturally, by the time he was ready for the gun the CCO had been traded so I bought a new Wiley Clapp Commander and had him do the work on it instead. The name stuck so it's the Roadster.

Drove to Cincinnasty today to visit the eldest daughter and take my parents out to dinner for mom's birthday. Carried this all day. The Silent Thunder IWB holster is pretty damn comfortable.
