It is irresponsible to outsource your personal safety to others.

If you don't carry a gun everywhere you go (that doesn't have metal detectors) then you have to accept partial blame when victimized.

I hope the dead and their idiot "we don't need no guns in church" Reverend serve as an unfortunate example to those in society capable of learning and bettering themselves.
